Abbotsford housing market set to soar

Abbotsford Property Expert, Cameron Nicholls and founder of Nicholls & Co Estate Agents is predicting that the local housing market is set to see a flurry of new stock hit the market in the rush to Christmas.

Cameron Nicholls, Nicholls & Co Estate Agents Founder and Principal says, “Over the past four weeks auction clearance rates have been back at an all time high of over 80%, a figure we expect to remain consistent until the end of the year. Competition is fierce with one of our properties selling in just two days.”

Nicholls predicts that with less than 10 weeks to go until Christmas:

  • Stock levels will increase as much as 30%
  • Days on market will decrease by 25%
  • The median house and apartment price will increase by 15%

“The Christmas rush traditionally sees a fluctuation in the above figures with many sales achieving new street and or building records. It’s an exciting time to be in the game and we urge those thinking of selling to get in now ahead of the holiday period,” adds Nicholls.

Abbotsford Property Statistics:

  • Median house price – $1.9 million
  • Median apartment price – Just over $1 million
  • Number of properties currently for sale – 10
